Installing 8845-Copiers/Printing for MEC Staff devices

Please note:  This is a temporary connection method until your staff notebook is imaged in Term4 2026. after this you will use the 'Company Portal'.

1. Open the 'File Explorer' (Windows key + E), select the 'Address Bar', and browse to "\\8845SPRINT.services.education.vic.gov.au". Note: Ensure you use the fully qualified domain name. 

2. When prompted for network credentials enter your eduMail email address in the username field and your eduPASS password in the password field, check 'Remember my credentials', then select 'OK. Note: If your username is pre-populated with an incorrect value, select "More Choices", then select "Sign-in with a different account", then enter the correct network credentials. 

3. To install the virtual find-me print queues used by the copiers on the EDU002 joined Print/PaperCut server, double-click "8845-Colour" and "8845-Mono". When prompted, select 'Yes' to install the required print driver.

Ensure you select 8845-Colour or 8845-Mono when printing from now on.

Do NOT print to MEC-Colour or MEC-Mono.
